Maintenance suggestions (Help experts!)

Well , I have read on this site for quite a while now. But I want to ask what other maintenace should I be doing? Truck in sig. Bought last Aug with 37k have 46k now. I do oil changes at 5k and just bought fuel filters. Air filter is good and I run Stanadyne treatment every other tank. I know keeping on top of this stuff helps with reliability but is there something else I have not read about? I love this truck and want it to be reliable and dependable so any suggestions to help that out? Thanks.

Add a coolant filter kit from DieselSite.com everything else is on par for what you need to be doing.

Have you changed tranny fluid. 30,000 on fluid change, not full flush. And just filter near bumper.

Agree on coolant flush and change. I'm a big believer that when you buy used, Start new on every thing you can on the fluids. ( you might not know how the truck has been treated)

Coolant filter is a good thing. (Dieselsite is a great kit)

Gauges? Keep an eye on things. I have scangauge II, but look around for what you feel is good for you and your pocket book.

I've had my first diesel since late July last year. Love this thing, and these forums. Although my right foot has been on a diesel pedal for 30 years.

Relax and enjoy!

Gauges are pretty important:
Fuel Pressure
Voltage
Boost
Oil Temp
Coolant Temp

Keep doing what your doing. If your critical with it do the coolant filter kit and the oil bypass system. The bypass filter will work wonders on your oil and your oil system, injectors to pumps will love it.

Other than engine your regular maintenance stuff in the manual is all you really need to do.
