Opinions needed-lemon law/recertified-deal?

I am looking at an 2005 F350 4x4 Lariat with 28000 miles. Beautiful grandpa truck garage kept and a smoking good deal. The oasis report shows it was lemon lawed due to turbo air feed issues 5 (it’s called the CAC gasket... I think). Ford bought it back in June of 07’ and recertified it for sale in August of 07’. The oasis is clean aside from that and a rear main seal. To me this could be the ultimate deal. Sounds like an 05’ with a complete 07’ update. I welcome your more experienced thoughts. When ford "recertified" the truck did they replenish the 100k warranty?

If so and cost is really good due to the histoey of the truck, then hell yea.

I work for an OEM, and actually at one point in an area that dealt with buybacks. DO NOT BUY a lemon law car!!!!!! It was repurchased for a reason. To get an OEM to buy back a car isn't easy (varies by state law). You are likely purchasing someone else's HUGE headache. Some cars are just lemons!!!...there is no real explanation as to why some vehicles continue to experience problem after problem after problem. Keep in mind that a warranty does you no good if the car is always in the shop being repaired or isn't reliable enough to drive confidently. Also, resale value/"re-saleability" will be impacted significantly. You will want to sell it one day and it will likely be that much more difficult to sell when that time comes. Don't be seduced by the low price. There is a reason you are getting a "deal" and its not cuz you are such a great guy, trust me! So many people ask questions only to have someone affirm a decision they have already made. For your sake, I hope this isn't the case.

Thanks to Earl; I just recanted my offer to buy the truck. I will not be getting a Christmas card from the seller, but I most likley saved a lot of money and headaches. I can also continue to shop. Thanks.
