Cost for heads for 6.0

My '05 is in having head gaskets,EGR delete, and all the other prerequisite crap. Just got a call from the shop, both heads are cracked, one has a crack in all 4 cylinders. What should new heads cost? I am about to freak out now.

I think I heard they are like 1k each new from the dealer. Try and find some used ones maybe

You could always look into some used sets and do a little port and polish on them. Put larger valves in too. Could make spending the money worth while. You will prolly have about 2k in them if you buy used ones, and you could nab 50 or so HP if done right. Thats my next sorta free project.
