FICM code

This weekend my edge threw 2 codes one being P1378 "FICM Supply Voltage Circuit Low" and the other V0155 "Lost Communication with Instrument". Also through the check engine light. This is the second time it has done it in approx a month. Should I could be concerned or is this just a glitch with my programmer.

Another thing I noticed is sometimes when I start my truck cold it kind of hiccups for a second then chugs along fine. Never did this before, and thought maybe it could be time to change fuel filters, but can this also be a symptom of my FICM going bad???

Truck has 68k miles on it, so is it worth going to the Ford garage and having them test it or isn't this covered by the 100k mile warranty??

I'd say you may need a new FICM

Thats what I'm afraid of. How much are we talking and is there a possibility it's still covered under warranty??

Should be covered under the engine warranty 5 year/100k. Could be low battery charge too, does it seem to crank well?

FICM is covered under the 5/100k.Its also covered under the federal emissions warranty law ans should be repaired or replaced free of charge if you have less than 85k on the truck and are within your 5yr period

Well thats good to hear. I'll just have to take my Edge off before I head to the dealership to get it tested. I also have an aftermarket exhaust...don't think that will void anything do ya??

You should not have any problems. If its throwing the FICM code, it needs to be replaced for sure.
