03 Up pipe in a 06?

Getting ready to have my EGR cooler plugged and welded so it looks factory. Will a 03 up-pipe work in my06 I'm trying to lose the scoop on the inside of the 05 and up Up-pipe

I believe if you replace the EGR cooler with an '03 cooler it can work. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong? (I could be)

The 03 up-pipe will work with any year 03-07 EGR cooler.

Not sure about that. My understanding was the coolers are different length, so the up-pipes are different to accommodate that.

I'm running an 04 up-pipe on mine. When I took my broken 05 stocker off, I compared it to the 04 pipe and everything was the same except the scoop. I'm pretty sure the EGR coolers are the same lengths, but I personally don't have any direct experience with that.

Early or late '04 would make a difference.

Round style EGR cooler used in 03, and early 04 models are a different length then the later style square coolers
