Fuel Level Sensor

My 6.0 powerstroke fuel gauge was inaccurate yesterday causing me to almost run it out of fuel. Low level fuel warning came on said I had 50 miles. i did not drive it far when it started sputtering in it's fuel conserve mode. Filled it up and it took 29.3 gallons!! Then the gauge still read just above empty and took all night to slowly creep back to the correct status. I let it sit for a while too and it still took a while to creep back up. It is an 05 F250 King Ranch with 56K miles on it. Is this covered under the emissions warranty? What I've read seems to only cover flex fuel sensors. Any thoughts? Thanks...Jason Breaux

Additionally, I know there was a TSB for issues like this. Dealer said that the TSB said to turn truck off for 30 minutes and it should reset. I did not fuel it with the key on either like they say is what causes this problem.

mine did the same thing and eventually quit working at all. it was the fuel level sender that goes into the tank. had to buy a new one and drop the tank to change it out. not a fun project.
