Question about new truck?

Early next week im going to go pick up my first powerstroke. its an 06 6.0l ccsb. Of course im going to change the oil first thing when i get home. what other filters need to be checked and changed? Im open for all advice, this will be my first diesel.

Make sure that you only use Motorcraft or Racor filters (Racor is the original manufacturer) and only Motorcraft oil. Very important!!!

My list would be oil and oil filter, fuel filters, trans fluid and filters if you can't document the last time they were changed, and check the restriction gauge on the air filter.

Not saying that you NEED to do this, but when I bought mine I had EVERY Drop of every fluid replaced and all the filters done. I don't know the previous owner and what he has or hasn't done to take care of it, This probably isn't necessary on an 06 but thats my $.02
