Hi, I just looked at a 03 f250 6.0 and when it was warmed up and idling, every now and then I would hear a click under the hood and the exhaust tone would change for a few seconds then it would switch back. Is this normal? What would cause it?

Sounds like your air-conditioner compressor is cycling !!
And yes....normal.

Could also be the new VXCF9 strategy. That has a new thing that periodically exercises the turbo vanes while idling. Sounds pretty cool.
