Aftermarket VGT Position Sensor
This is sort of a poll to see if anyone would be interested.
If I offered an aftermarket kit to add a position sensor for the VGT would anyone buy it? John Last edited by slackjaw; 06-15-2010 at 11:00 PM. |

Also
It would report the position of the vanes in a 0-100% format.

It all depends on price as usual....lol

Price
Well my goal will be to keep the price as low as possible. I am still working with the company that will make the special sensor for the kit, when i have a price per unit from them I will set a tenitive price. also the overhead wil be no more than 5% over total cost. In addition any sponsors I have from other companies will help drive down costs.

This sounds interesting. What would you use for a display?

Amarillo, it will monitor the position of the vanes in the VG Turbo on the 6.0.( Will give actual feed back as to whether they are sticking or working as intended)
As far as the display,(pod gauge) that will kind of be up to popular interest if people like a 0-100% display or something like an analog needle. ( may be able to offer different displays) If enough interest is made into a kit like this I will work to produce one, I will also try and work with a programmer company to see if the sensor could be integrated into the CEL light for a display-less install if people would like to see that. |
