Ok guys. I have a thread on here explaining the problem I am having with my oil temps. Anyway, today on my way home my oil temp got up 232 degrees! Should I be driving this thing until I get my oil cooler replaced?
Thanks guys. I really don't have the money to blow this thing up.
Personally I would park it until you can change the cooler. That is what I had to do to mine and my temps never got to the extreme that you are seeing. I just didn't see the point of pushing it to where something bigger happened.
That's a pretty big difference, but I'm certain that your turbo and engine would create temperature spikes MUCH higher than that as oil flows through them. At any rate, it certainly indicates a low rate of coolant flow through your oil cooler. I just hope you haven't cracked your EGR cooler due to the low flow.
