I Want My SCT!!!!

Well I have a brand new MBRP Cool Duals turbo back exhaust system along with the goodbye kitten pipe sitting on my garage floor. Well I'm thinking wouldn't it be nice to put a tuner in at the same time? Now heres my question(s). I don't plan on any other mods so is a custom tune worth it? Also with no gauges yet am I safe with just the lowest setting? I had a CTD for many years with this setup and no problems (Edge EZ). Anyone with gauges and tunes should be able to answer this for me I hope.

yes you can run the low HP custom tunes without gauges but i still dont recommend it.... my suggestion is to get your SCT with custom tunes like this: SCT X3 Custom Innovative Diesel Tunning

as for gauges i recommend some pillar style gauges or a edge insight.... if your on a type budget you could go with something like this 99-07 FORD F-250 3 GAUGE KIT

or this GlowShift 3 in 1 Combo Gauge - Boost, Exhaust Temp, Temp Readings

With the SCT TSX I can have all my gauges through that right? I just need to run one to the down pipe for EGTs? I really don't want to put gauges in the truck...

You would need to put it in the driver's side manifold, as the downpipe is post-turbo, but what you really want is pre-turbo readings.

Buy an edge insight you can get a mount that goes above the mirror.

like stated above... you would need to put the EGT probe in the manifold. not the downpipe.. if you need a price on that let me know
