Coolant Filter Kit?

Hey guys, anyone use Diesel Site coolant filter kit? If so what are the pros and cons? Thanks, I think I need to get one since I just had egr delete and all the other stuff!

i got mine from diesel site for xmas and have done 3 filter changes. first 2 were OMG that **** is nasty then the 3rd not so bad. remember to change your first one within 1 month. and prime it with coolant before you reinstall.


install was gaaraaavy. but im a tech bye trade. build quality excelent!. instructions were spot on. best mod i have done to date on anything i have ever owned.

yes i did. I opted for the ball valves and an extra filter all for 166 shipped.

The coolant filter is a GREAT reliability mod on our trucks. It's amazing how much sand is left over in the water jackets after the casting process. Your water pump will thank you for it.

I'm hoping with only 15,000 miles on my 2005 that i can catch any potential issues before they arise.

Ordered mine the week before Memorial Day, got it just in time to install that Thursday night before the long weekend. Very easy to install and looks great. Haven't changed the filter yet....but plan on doing so within the next few weeks (at approximately 1 month). I ordered the ball valves and an extra filter.
