2006 6.0 Diesels

I have heard some mixed reviews about the 6.0 PSD. I just bought mine about a month ago and love it so far. Has anyone who left their truck stock run into major issues or has Ford/International kind of smoothed things out. I suppose with the talk of the 6.4 maybe they got it right, before they change it. Just wondering...

Question issues

Cross my fingers. None so far. 4000 miles on mine. The only thing I am watching is the oil on the bellhousing. Hoping I do not have a rear main leak.

I've put 21,000.00 on mine in the last 7 months and have had no problems so far. No oil leaks or issues....but I do get this strange houl sound when I go 4 wheeling. I'm not sure if this is normal or not but it always goes away a few miles after going back into 2 wheel.

in comparison to the 03's and 04's.....we have had relitively few repairs on them....still some injector issues and such....but all and all it is probably a "normal" amount of vehicles in for repair........Marc

7000 miles on mine so far, with 2500 of them towing an 8000 pound trailer, no problems so far. Other than some jerk tried to steal it on monday. $280 to replace the drivers door handle and the lock cylinder.

3,500 miles on mine now. Had rear main seal replaced around 480 miles and no sign of leaks since. No problems at all

if its right at the manifold its nothing to worry about....they dont use a gasket from the factory and they will leak just a little when the motor is cold.....if its up higher, at the flex coupler on the Y pipe that comes off of the manifold and runs up to the turbo.......then it needs to be repaird.......Marc
