[Big red machine]

I got a 03 f350 with a 6.0 powerstroke In it. Every onece in a while it'll put out a lil white blue smoke I let out and get back in it and it clears up I was told it was the egr? I took it to a diesel machanic to do a egr block and delete he said he could clean the egr and do a tune up and I could prolly get another 100000 miles out of it? If I do the egr delete will I gain me any more power?
