Performance diesel engine builders.

So. If my engine turns out to be cratered like I'm suspecting ( Hammer down/let off/motor dies. ), what are my options for rebuilding it... better, stronger, etc.?
I've looked around the net a little and there is no where near the network of diesel builders as compared to gas engine builders. I'm not a mechanic by trade. I have done my share of rebuilds on gas engines, differentials, etc. but don't even care to tear into an engine like this. Too many constraints with time, money, kids, wife, etc. But I could probably pull and replace as a unit. Anyone have any preferences on solid rebuilders or crate motors with a little "spice" on it? Fast is cool but I want stronger.

Elite can rebuild your current block if it is good, replace it if not. Rudy's and Brian's can aswell, though they do more work for the 6.4's now (obviously). Talk to rescuef250... he just went through something similar. Rescue Tear down

SWEET!! Yes for the 7,000, I would go that route rather than a stock reman for 5. Their red 7.3s looked bad arse but little too much like a cummins. lol

Thanks for the input guys. I'm going to be contacting them soon. I remember following a few builds that Scott did and liking what I saw. If anyone has any feedback on these vendors or knows of some others, feel free to list them.
