04 f250 diesel

I'm looking at a 04 diesel with only 48000 miles on it. But I see they had some problems its very clean and runs great but a little scard of the 6.0. But it has a 6speed manuel trans thats a plus I guess. Owner say only had a few recalls and has had know problems. what your advice???

Go to Ford and get an Oasis report. Double check it. Take it for a very long drive. Buy a Scangauge II or an edge insight to check ECT vs. EOT temps. Or if you can find someone that has one borrow it. Do they have any service records? How was it used?

I bought an 04 F350 with 28,000 last fall. Most work were recalls and 2 turbo replacements. I assume the turbos were due to lack of drive time.

No, I didn't have the gauges for my purchase, but would have been nice to have, not saying I found anything after purchase, just piece of mind I guess.
