Pure Power Oil filters?

Hi Guys!

Great forum! Been doing a TON of reading lately. I just bought my first PSD. An F350 Crew cab long box DRW. LOVE IT!!!

I already got the cat pipe delet done and the EGR delete kit ready to install.

Heads look good so far so I am hoping they can wait a year or so for studs.

I did a search and have found a lot of info on oil bypass but nothing about these filters?

Filters - Pure Power! Lifetime Drop-in Filter - PurePower!, Inc.

Anyone using them? Worth the $$?

I still may add an oil bypass filter and coolant filter... but there is just soooo much to do!!

Thanks guys!

Ive seen those filters advertised in diesel power. They also make reusable fuel filters. I wouldnt want to be the first one to try them incase they dont filter as well as the ford filters which could cause lots of problems.

If they actually work than I could see it being worth it to buy them.

Anybody use them?

Why is it that the first thing that came to mind when I saw that filter is the recent events with Tim's motor

Pretty sure he wouldn't be where he is now with one of these. That whole situation sucks and I know I won't be doing businees with TP in the future.

This reminds me of PT6 Aircraft turbine engine filters. they have paper type ones that are thrown away after 100 hours. then they have the stainless steel ones like pure power oil filter which depending on certain PT 6 maintenance schedules are indefinite for the life of the engine. Personally Im glad I seen this Im ordering one now. then I can use my ultrasonic cleaner to clean the filter. and pop the filter back in.

I think I will stick with the factory stuff.... Proven durability, reliability and its cost effective. Those resuable filters are pretty big buy in.

You need to watch this before you buy into something like that.
