quick question

So I am selling my 7.3 and looking at an 04 6.0. Just wondering if anyone here could tell me how much quieter a straight pipe 6.0 is gonna be compared to my straight piped 7.3. The 7.3 is ridiculously loud on the highway and I'm hoping the 6.0s are quieter but would like some user feedback

i think that my 6.0 is louder then my buddies straight piped 7.3 but thats just me and i havent rode in his truck much lately so hopefully some one else with some more knowledge will chime in

yeah 6.0s have a louder exhaust note. Especially around 2200 rpms or so, the drone kicks in, but goes away pretty quick though. At least on mine anyway, I imagine pipe size and length would change that.

ok. thanks guys. I have definitely noticed the 6.0s exhaust is louder but I'm more worried about the in cab noise and engine noise... the 7.3 is crazy loud in the cab. and not just because the exhaust.

As far as cab noise while cruising, the 6.0 will be quieter. Except for that drone mine gets at about 80mph, but I don't need to be cruising at that speed anyway...
