egr cooler delete 6.0 diesel

I am going to replace my egr cooler with a delete kit. Which is the best kit aRiver city diesel or a Sinister.Both look about the same.The sinister comes with a life time warranty free replace ment parts.I did not see the warranty on the River city.Will it hurt engine to close off coolant withthese kits. Any info,Thanks

it doesn't close off the coolant, it re-routes it. I bought the sinister off ebay for 250 and i did a review on it in this forum.

i bought the rcd kit for $250 on ebay also. I tried to offer sinister $250 but it was rejected. I think they are very similar kits except for the flashy color on the sinister. I haven't got it installed yet, but hopefully soon.

Thanks for the info.I thought they looked the same. Thaey are both made of 304s/s.I like how the sinister coolant tube is welded ,not a compresion fitting like the rcd.Thanks I am glad to get some info.

I got the sinister kit for $275 off ebay had it on for a month now. No problems, You will need a custom tune to shut down the egr system so that you don't get codes and go into limp mode. It will still run fine but it won't build but 20-21# of boost at WOT, thats what my 05 is doing anyway. Still waiting on my tunes

I have the sinister off e-bay on mine, all fits good no problems like it so far have about 700 miles on it.

Don't let the pics fool you. Mine is welded also. I think there pics are old. They must have updated their design.

I was told by rcd and sinister that if I leave my egr valve alone and plugged in. I would'nt get any code problems.thanks

i bought the sinister kit from ebay iv had it on for about 3500 miles with no problems im a happy customer

i have the sinister one, but you cant go wrong with either one. and your truck wont go into limp mode if you dont have custom tunes, you might get a check engine light.
