Question clunk when clutch used and tink noise from idleing engine

Ok so my truck makes a noise when I engage my clutch but ONLY when the truck is already moving when it is at a stop and I use the clutch it is fine but when I'm rolling to the stop light and I hit my clutch it makes a loud clunk it sounds like it is coming from the front you can feel it too, today I started my truck to let it warm, it is about 40 degrees and has rained past two days constantly,so I come back and here this tink noise coming from the engine I've never heard something like it sounds like taking a empty soda can and tapping it with silverware lol and it will make this "tink" noise every few seconds I cannot hear it from inside the cab its just a single "tink" every few seconds I popped the hood in the pooring rain to do a brief check and the big pipe left to the coolant res has soot on it any ideas on where to start with this please help *I posted this originally in problems if its not supposed to be here delete it*

The trans issue sounds like a syncro is either bad or going bad. The gears aren't fully stopping when you push the clutch when you are already in motion.
