Grinding Noise

The best way I can describe this is a grinding noise. I only hear it at takeoff from a stop...usually when I’m turning or going up a slight grade it makes it worse. I can also get it to do it at cruising speed if I’m accelerating and turning the wheel to the right. It sounds like it is coming from the middle of the truck directly below the turbo in that area....u joint maybe??

I'm at a total loss...I don't even know where to start looking....any ideas??

Thats what i'm afraid of. I'm wondering if it's something clutch/tranny related. It's a 6 speed...wouldn't think any of that would be bad already at 62k miles?? At least i hope not! haha

Does it do it all the time or mainly after the engine gets heated up and ran for a while? I have a similar issue I have been trying to figure out for the longest time. And like you said it sounds like its coming from the turbo area. Post an audio clip if you can get one.

Don't know if I can get an audio clip because i only hear it when the truck is moving. It's coming from under my feet like below the turbo area. I just had new u-joints put on in Dec...unless I got a bad one or they screwed it up putting it in??
