Hay all. I am pretty happy. Just completed my own oil cooler change, egr delete, and ICP sensor change, coolant flush. It all went very well.
I had been noticing a big temp diff between my oil and coolant. I bit the bullet and tore into her. While i was in there i noticed my ICP sensor was leaking oil. I also took my egr cooler to a good welder and he capped both ends for me. I dunged out my intake manifold and cleaned all the carbon out of it. Rebuilt and replaced the oil cooler. Replaced all the gaskets, the oil strainer for the HPOP, reassembled the whole thing (torque wrench mandatory) and flushed the coolant. It took me 3 days but I was fighting a bit of BC Canada rain in the driveway. Plus I really took my time with everything and made sure it was clean and correct. It all went perfectly. I was a bit apprehensive till i had a look at all the pictures on here. I didn’t even take any of my own because so many folks on here have done good write ups already. Have you noticed any more power or lower EGTs since you've deleted the piece of s**t EGR? |

For sure a little more power. A little lower peak boost pressure, for some reason. ?? My EGT gauge is sitting on my shop table still, puttin it in this week.
