best option for exhaust

Just wondering what my option would be for my exhaust. I've got a 6.0 with the stock muffler cat. I was planning on cutting out the muffler and leaving the cat in place and just putting in a straight piece to replace muffler. I'm just trying to get a little better sound and mabye a few more mpgs. Any help on which combo would work best would be great.
