How much coolant to drain

How much coolant do I need to drain out before doing the EGR delete kit?

I'd just pull the lower rad hose...do the delete and fill with 50/50 Zerex G-05.

when i did mine, i just put a 5 gallon pale under the rad and pulled the drain valve.

You will only need to drain around 3 gallons, but it would be a good time to just change the coolant while you are there. Put Motocraft gold back in it.
