questions about 6.0 trucks

What all mods can you do engine wise without lifting the cab? I own a 7.3 now but I am thinking of getting a newer truck.

Pretty much everything. The engine can be studded, pulled and worked on in the truck. It does make it easier to work on with the cab off though. Stock turbo and sticks with tuning you could see 415rwhp-450rwhp. Most seem to be in the 415-425 range with a hot tune only.

Haha MOST things can be done cab on...Ill give ya one thing that the engine had to be pulled on mine as we speak....If ya spring a bedplate leak...the engine has to be pulled...lol glad mine was barely under warranty still

If ya have the funds I would trade it in on the new 2011 diesel...I wish I could but I just cant swing 65k for that thing...

This is how I look at it:

$25k for a late model, low mileage 6.0L and $10k to make it bulletproof at 450 to 500 hp

OR

$65k for a 2011?

ORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR....spend 20-25k for a late model 6.0L...then spend 18k for a 05-06 CR cummins 5.9 swap and have the best truck with the best diesel engine made..

Thats what I am going to do eventually...just cant swing that right now
