Air bag question (code?)

This morning my airbag light began blinking. It blinked repeatedly in sequence three times-pause-two times-pause and repeat. It did this for several minutes then stayed on continually. After I stopped and shut off the ignition, then restarted it went off with the light above the passanger airbag key. Later it came on again; the only thing on the passenger seat was my wallet (definitely not heavy in this economy...) The truck then sat in place for several hours before driving home (45 minutes); on the drive home it did not come on at all.

Does the airbag light flash a fault code as in the way it repeated a sequence???

Wow, I've never seen or heard of that happening before. I'm thinking that one of the techs should be along shortly and hopefully they can assist you.

i had a problem kind of like this i had to replace the turn off key in the dash board for the air bag.

Don, did you get the flashing sequence of the airbag indicator light?

I was assuming there is some kind of pressure sensor in the seat that tells the system whether or not to arm the airbag on the passenger side. I looked all over under the seat and could find no such sensor.

I am new to diesels, I have an 06 F350 the plastic piece where the air bag light key goes was missing. We ordered and just got it installed. As soon as we left the parking lot the air bag light came on and started flashing. the sequence is flash 2x...pause flash 2x...pause...flash 2x...pause...flash 2x then stays on. what could this be?


Today my air bag light code sequence is 5...2...5...2...5 then solid. Would that be Code 52??? Where can I find out what that is with out paying $195.00 to the dealer??

Code 32 is for the drivers side airbag. Most likely you've got a clock spring issue starting to show up.
