Crankcase Vent - CCV reroute question

I hate to start a new thread, but I've been through 50+ pages already (you can't search CCV it's too short) and don't have an answer yet so...

Is rerouting your CCV to open air (or throwing a filter on the end) considered "safe"?? I've read about the supposed change in pressure? It seems like this doesn't make sense because the intake pressure is always changing.

So I guess the question is: If you want to do-it-yourself, it simply rerouting it and putting a free flowing filter on the end safe for the engine?

CCV Mod for 6.0L

Thanks,

Tyler

You just dont want it to clog, thats when it gets bad just make sure there are no low points and try to drain it away from the driver door as possible because it smells some say. But idk im gonna make my own and see how it comes up
