best product for manual tranny?

hello

was wondering what people are running in their 6spd manual tranny, i just have standard gear oil i believe in mine and once its warmed up drives.. well like a 'truck' can be a bit notchy until you drive it for a few minutes to get things moving in there.

north west bc winters for me so i dont really deal with temperature 'extremes' either way.

in my town i have access to the usual products from napa and canadian tire as well as a lucas dealer where i get my 5w40 synthetic engine oil

thanks!

The ZF6 was designed to run synthetic ATF. There has been some concern about heavy towing, etc. and apparently Ford's current recommendation is for a synthetic 80/90 gear oil, and apparently that's what Motorcraft Manual Transmission Fluid is (now). Why not use that? Don't know if it contains different additives or not.
I wouldn't run 75-140. Couldn't possibly be any advantage and could cause shifting trouble.
