Custom tunes are always better than canned tunes (imho). The SCT provides the ability to store three custom tunes along with the three canned tunes it comes with.
You buy the tuner, plug it into your OBD II and get your vehicle's stratagy. Contact a custom tune writer, give them your stratagy, mods you have and money and they in turn email you your custom tunes. Download the tunes onto your SCT and then plug it back into the truck to upload new said tunes. They're a few writers that most go with and have the best reputation. Read the threads to see which one offers what your looking for. |

The reason everyone likes the SCT so much for 6.0's is the custom tuning you can get for it.
And with those custom tunes you can have a program written for ANYTHING. (stock truck, egr delete, bigger injectors, huge turbo(s), you name it and they (the tuners) will write a program to make it work) |
