Out of warranty 6.0s are bringing nothing for trade-in. I would imagine many people have traded them with "issues" and the dealer has to foot the bill before they can sell them. From what I see the 6.0s around here that are still under warrenty bring good money.

Now you know where not to buy from. Generally if they don't offer me anything for a trade I tend to not want to pay anything near their asking price either.

They probably can. I leased a 2005 Dodge Durango at the end of the lease I could buy for $23,000, which would have been a good deal, but I needed the truck. When I handed over my keys to the dealer I asked what they were going to do with it. He told me it was going straight to auction. "How much will it get" I asked, "well, since it's loaded and mint it should get $12,500" he replied. And that's why the dealers are always going to low ball you, these things really don't get much at the auctions.
