Need help asap!
I replaced the injectors on my truck.
Got everything done and put back together. Double and triple checked that everything was plugged in and where it should be. It didn't take long for the truck to fire up. But once it did I have no gages, window and radio control. What is going on? Truck runs perfect so I'm assuming it has oil pressure and is able to run safely. But still no gages and the check gage light is on. I let it run for a while and shut it off. Tryed to restart and it took 20-30 seconds to fire. I'm lost! All fuses are fine. |

You have something disconnected or a bad connection somewhere.

ditto...your missing continuity somewhere....two connectors could be swapped....short to ground....unplugged.....try quaddroople checking....or take it to ford for a $100 diag charge and let them pull the schematic and check everything

Thinking back it's not the first time I've had no gages. I think one morning last winter when it was to cold for the remote start (doesn't run glow plugs long enough). I had to go out and start it and there were no gages. Was getting late to go to work. So hoped in and started heading in to town. And about half way there the popped to life. And don't recall an indecent since. Could the alarm/auto start be causing the problem if batteries were disconnected for an extended period of time say 2 day's?
I did take it for a short drive around our tiny block. Runs fine till I got to 1/4 throttle. And one of the clamps on the elbow coming off the turbo let go. I new it was going to be a problem (started to strip threads) but was hoping it would hold till I can get a new one. So trucks parked till I can take a look at it tomorrow night. |

Checked for codes tonight. And it came up with a V/U 0155 (Lost communication with instrument panel cluster (IPC) control module)
Any one have a clue where to start with that? |

A bad instrument panel cluster.
It is not uncommon. try turning your headlights on and off - sometimes that is a "band-aid" that works for a short period of time. |

Have try'd that. Lights work dash still does not. Also the radio does not work. Would the gage cluster cause this also?
How do you fix this problem? Last edited by STANG302; 03-15-2010 at 05:52 PM. |

Unless you just have a bad connection (which I doubt based on what you said), it requires a new cluster.

I bought a used Edge Insight a couple weeks ago and it showed up last night. For the time being that will have to work. Drove the truck into work today, runs like a top. No more chug, miss, chug and miss some more. Powers pretty good with the stage 1's, way better than it was before.
And just FYI my insight does have the trans temp option. Don't know what software version this is but I can find out. One option I can't seem to find is oil pressure. Where would that be located? Under ford sensors? Also how hard is it to replace the gauge cluster? Last edited by STANG302; 03-16-2010 at 08:17 AM. |

She's fixed!
After checking all the fuses that had anything to do with the gauge cluster. I just started pulling fuses left to right. Got to the PCM memory fuse witch tested fine with my tester. Pulled it out and stuff started beeping and flashing. Plugged it back in started the truck and everything works like normal. Cleared the code listed above and took the truck for a spin. No lights or codes popped up so I should be in the clear. But can some one explain to me what happened or what may have caused this issue? |
