common mileages when 6.0s have major failures?

is there a common mileage when 6.0s have major failures?...looking at 04 with 86k...had egr cooler, oil cooler, FICM, turbo cleaned under warranty in 07...nothing other than that...just curious...seriously looking into buying it...

No...because "most" don't have major problems....some do...most don't

ok here is oasis report...

couple window switch replacements

recall on reverse planet replacement
remove transmission and replace reverse planet gear assy

FICM wiring repair
completed recall inspected FICM harness, installed shield kit, replaced ICP senson connector

customer states water in fuel light stays on
manifold failed replaced water in fuel manifold

customer states engine overheating and blue white somke from exhaust after warmed up, can hear pitch noise from engine worse on acceleration
test engine performance chart. pinpoint test.replace egr cooler. diagnostic test failed.replace hot side CAC hose.retest.failed.rnr turbo and inspect and clean. retest passed. verify 6.0 operation

customer states can hear a loud high pitch whine from possible transmission
engine oil cooler failed test. engine performance test. pinpoint. test. test turbo passed monitor pids. replace engine oil cooler and flush coolant. retest clear codes rd test verify60

They should know better than to replace the either cooler by itself! Jeez!

depending on how long ago they were replaced, thats how it used to be done... now they are replaced in pairs

Call your local Ford dealer, they'll read it off to you, or you can go by and pick up a copy, or you can have them fax it to you.

very cool thankyou i didn't know you could get those...i am looking at an 07 PSD 6.0 in another state and had some questions about service history....now i know what to do thanks guys
