Looking at 03 6.0L

I want advice on if I should buy this truck or not. It's an 03 crew cab long bed with the 6.0L and 98k. It's only had one owner and the car fax shows that at 20k it had an ac compressor and tranny replaced in it. It doesn't have any reports of blown head gaskets. Seems like a great truck, Has a small lift, brand new tires, black leather, intake, and exhaust system already install. I'm just torn between all the headaches other some of the 6.0 guys have and my tried and true 7.3. What do you guys think? I talked them down to $19,000

That sounds a little high for an '03 if you don't care about getting a different body style i would stick with the 7.3

Well first off, don't go just by the Carfax, also get your hands on an Oasis report to see what all any dealer has done to it.

Second it does sound a little high. I just purchased an '03 6.0 XLT CC SB, does not have leather, but power everything WITH a color matching Tonneau (sp?) cover, Westin chrome bars and 129k for 10,900 about a month ago. Nothing on the Oasis except Turbo pedestal and one injector.

So that price might be a little high, but could be due to the fact of how much they have in the truck. I don't think I would pay over 15k for it though.

I wonder if the location has anything to do with it, because anything I can find in 200 miles from where I live are going for more than the asking price on this one.

I just bought an 03 CC lariat with 127k on it for $14,500. Mined booked for $20,500 so i got a good deal on it. Mine had a pretty clean oasis. They replaced egr cooler/valve, oil cooler, and 4 injectors. Truck is in good shape. I would say $19,000 is too much.
