Direct solenoid
Just wondering here guys. Would upgrading the direct solenoid be worth it for a little more holding power, or is there some module that I can use to tune the trans on this thing to not have any problems? Don't have any now, and don't want any to start. only has 52,000 miles.

Ditch the Adrenaline and get a SCT with custom tunes, it will be much better for your trans.

the suncoast solenoid makes it shift into fifth gear hard as hell.

Good question--I've been wondering the same thing. Is there such a thing as a "shift kit" for this tranny? I had billet servos and a kit on my SS' tranny, and although it shifted much harder, it was better than having the over-active built-in "torque management" fry the clutch plates. I love how my trans shifts (unbelievably superior to the one in my '04 SS), and I'd like to keep it shifting right for a long time too...

You don't need a 'shift kit' with proper transmission tuning, its mostly the programming... hence the SCT with custom tunes.

So it is only ment for the 5th gear.
