White smoke

2004, 6.0. I haven't really had any problems. Last week I was driving to the doctor and white smoke began pouring out the exhaust. It looked like someone set off a smoke grenade in the intersection!
Took it to the dealer thinking the egr cooler went. They checked everything for two days. No loss of coolant, etc. Cost me my deductable and they apologized because they couldn't duplicate the problem.

My question: I let the fuel tank run almost to empty, (Which I never do) and before taking it to the dealer I filled it up. Could condensation in the fuel tank cause the excesssive white smoke? Thanks

no. It is probably the beginning stages of a EGR cooler failure, give it some time, it will come back.
