6.0 Mileage

I know this question has to have been asked before, but for the sake of my time I am going to ask it again.

What kind of milage can I expect out of an 06 F350 SRW CCSB with 3.73 gears on 37s? What could I expect if I added a tuner? What other upgrades could be done to add to the mileage? And lastly does the tuner shorten the life of the motor, even if it is only something like an economy tune not a high power tune? Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it.

14-15 mpg stock.
17-18 mpg tuned.
Tuner shouldn't shorten the life of the motor as long as you get a good tuner (like SCT) and take care of your truck by doing all your preventative maintainence.

I'm getting about 17mpg stock and 18.5 tuned with 35". I can get over 22mpg on strictly interstate driving tuned. My truck is manual but not sure the gear ratio

like stated before with a good tune on it and unloaded driving around 16-22 depending on lots of things.

Man I don't see how you guys get that high of mileage? I run 37's with 4:30 gears and I'm lucky to get 12 driving around town and that's with me keeping my foot out of it? And yes I just changed my fuel filter, oil, and air filter. My truck is in tip top shape. No clue why my mileage sucks...

Guys I posted a similar question on Feb 7. I have a 206 F350 with 3:73 Gear, stock truck that gets between 9-12 depending on the tempature outside (I live in N. Illinois). I had the truck back at Ford and they tell me its running perfect. I just got the truck in mid Dec 2009 with 11,200 Miles on the odometer. I'm disappointed and don't know what to do with the poor MPG.

At 11,000 miles that baby hasn't even broke in her shoes yet. It will get better as everything settles in for the ling haul. I'm at 53,000 and runnin about 17-19 now depending on conditions, and if I keep my foot out of it. Give it time.
