Finally Bought an 6.0

I finally bought my 2004 F250. At first I was nervous because of what I read about the engine and almost bought a 7.3 from the dealer but they sold it the night I left. They called me back and said that it was gone but they had a 04 F250 so I went back to look at it... Got a really good deal OTD. But I wanted the service records before I signed they finally got everything this morning and the Truck didn't have one Warranty claim against it. It showed me the truck was always brought to the dealership for service (different dealership). The only thing that was wrong with the truck was a wore tie rod that they replaced. It has a 118K on it and I got a 2year warranty Engine/Tranny/4x4. I was nervous about buying after reading about the issues. But having seen everything history wise on the truck I was put at easy even with the warranty..

Congrats on the puchase of your new truck. Sounds like a clean one. One would hope to get many miles of service out of it. I am new to the diesel community as well. Just bought an 02 with 19,000 miles on it.

Sounds like you got a decent one. You also got 2 years of peace of mind and that is priceless. Drive it with no worries, if anything is going to happen it will before the warranty is up so you got your bases covered. I would not even read a horror story on here if i was you. CONGRATS.

I LOVE MY TRUCK and just about have the gremlins fixed.
