brake light

hey guys i have a 2004 f350 dually and my brake light is on dont know why iv checked everthing from fuses to the brake switch itself all wiring is good and no my e-brake is not on lol the only work i did a while back is i changed out my hydro boost i think thats what it is called and power steering pump kinda stumped here any thoughts!!!

Im assuming you mean brake light in the cluster. have you checked your brake fluid level. aslo the connectors that go to the master cylinder, and related connectors to the hydroboost system

thanks for the reply fluid level and all conections are good is there like a reset button or something i dont know why its on iv checked everthing mabey im missing something

did you look at the little rubber pad that rides on top of the e-brake pedal itself? my pad became worn out (manual tranny) and broke apart so it wasn't making contact w/ the depression switch under the dash. just a thought.

id recheck everything you did when you swapped out the hydroboost unit, you already said the e-brake is ok, but just make sure its released completly and the switch it closed all the way.
