So what's the general concensus on fords newest update? I've heard about 50/50 and that's not good enough for me to loose all my tunes. I like the new features it has but how is it performance wise?

My strategy is for my 04. 03 and 04 trucks have a different strategy than 05+ ones...

What does this strategy try and fix?

Its for cold starts and a few other things. It exercises the turbo vanes at idle and sets a CEL if ECT and EOT are more than 20 degrees different

Is there a comprehensive list somewhere? I just had my '03 re-flashed this morning. It was reunning just finee prior, but everyone here seemed to agree that is was good to get the latest. I was due for one anyway (under the recall)... Thanks!

i just had my truck flashed while it was in gettting studded and egr delete. i have an 05, my mpg went from always being 18 down to 14.5-15. it could be a combination of winter fuel and the new flash, got truck back as it was getting cold. i do like the new features, like the turbo cycle and cel for the oil cooler. power wise i think it is about the same as the last flash, but def less than the origanal 05 flash that was on my truck. overal opinion is good, now for a little tuning to bring back mpg.

I like mine. Just got my new tunes from Matt today. My truck is running fine with the new flash. Truck sounds awesome when it cycles the turbo vanes.

Mine was done about 3 weeks ago when they dealership replaced my FICM for the cold start issue. All I have really noticed is that I have lost another 1 mpg. I'm now down to 12.5 mpg so that sucks. I will probably go ahead and have the FICM reprogrammed by PHP.

Embarassingly, my truck had never been "flashed." Apparently, there was a recall for the FICM reflash in '06 or sometime thereabouts... Too, the negative battery cables on '03s were recalled...
