"CHECK GAUGES" light is on, what is this?
What does it mean when the check gauges light is on? I just finished replacing the 3rd fuel injector from the front on the drivers side. While i was in there i decided to do the EGR block off kit from Sinister or something like that. For those that are doing a EGR block off it is a lot of fun trying to remove and tighten little bolts that you can not get to or see.
The truck fired right up after i finished this fun round of repairs and it seems to run fine. No exhaust or turbo leaks. The only issue i see that has happened is my oil pressure gauge is not working but the truck starts and runs fine so i assume i have a bad connection or wire loose somewhere. ANY GUESS to WHERE it may be? I tried to do a search and could not find anything i am sure i am just brain dead at 3 a.m. from working 7 hours in a 20 degree garage. My truck is a 2005 and i removed the egr valve and installed the block off cap the egr kit came with. THANKS!! |

Dave- Gauge was working before the operation, where is the sending unit or wires located under the hood if you know. Maybe i bumped them or something pulling the turbo out.
If nothing else how do i get the "check gauges" light to go out? These 6.0's are fun to work on Actually i am glad i did the work.
