sheering to 30W

Why is it bad for the oil to sheer to 30W. We can use 5W-30 and that is for cold climate.

Just wondering.

i have wondered the same thing before too. I would assume as long as the oil doesn't continue to shear down even further below a 30wt then it would be ok?

ya that is what im thinking.....

one thing is that I am never going to buy 5W30 cuz I would never need it. its january and it is 40* and I use a block heater
