Hello everyone. This is my first post here so be gentle!
I've owned a 2002 Dodge since new and just bought a 2006 F250 XLT Supercab with the 6.0. The truck has an actual 201 miles on it and about 28hrs of run time. The Dodge has been really good to me and I'm hopeing the Ford does the same. I've been told these trucks really come alive with a few mods. What kind of luck have you guys had and what would you say was the best thing you added to your rig. Thanks |

Jethro, My local Ford dealer found it somewhere. Why head studs?
Is that a "must" before any mods? I was planning on maybe an Edge EZ, intake & exhaust. I'm also more of a tinfoot!!! |

not really a must more of an insurance/assurance thing do exhaust intake and an sct with custom tunes as they are much better for all parts of your vehicle

the only problems i've have with my 6.0 so far are a few simple electronic issues. Def. get an SCT tuner with custom tunes. I ran my sct for a while without headstuds with no issue but every truck is different. the headstuds are just a good safety item to assure your truck will be good with the tunes. do a turbo back exhaust sct tuner and some gauges to watch everything

If you not in California you are a good man
Delete the egr, gauges, head studs, exhaust, sct from Innovative diesel, synthetics en everything except the trans. The stock intakes are very good, try your best not to get an after market intake unless you got big power, there is little benefit. Last edited by smokersteve; 01-30-2010 at 08:59 AM. |

I would seriously consider ANY mods as it sounds like the Truck still has factory warranty. I have done plenty of mods to mine but only after the warranty was up.
