need fast 60k servicing advice
I need some feedback on this before monday feb 1, i am taking my F 250 PSD to the dealership for its 60k servicing. they said that they are going to inspect my differential fluids, 4x4 fluids and if they need to be replaced they will. this will cost me an extra couple hundred dollars. i rarely use my 4x4 and i dont think that it will need it. the dealership says that 9 times out of 10 it does and that there is no recommended servicing on these fluids. i think they are full of crap. i prefer to get these services done at the dealership only for warranty purposes and my truck is still under warranty for a few more years. need some advice on what you guys think about getting those services done. thanks.

Do you think that they will tell you that everything is fine on fluid that they can not tell anything about and still stand behind the warranty. The only thing you would be able to tell by looking at the fluid is if were water contaminated or if it has chunks of stuff in it. It will be a CYA from the dealer to tell you it needs changing. I guess you could pull some samples and send them off but at that cost you might as well change the fluids. JJ

Dealerships are full of crap. Most likely Bg or wynns products and their
services and they go 5k 10k 15k 30k and repeat. It is an oil change, trans flush extra money for the fluid if its a torqueshift and some additives. They do balance and rotate the tires and look it all over but in my opinion should be doing anyway.
