Please help me...quick..

So apparently somebody tried to get into my truck today. They didn't actually get in but they messed up the door handles bad, the lock, the keypad and they even put a bunch of dents in my door. I need an alarm system that is extremely good...I mean damn good. Anybody here got any suggestions on what brands and what types? I need your guys help on this one!

Send a message via AIM to ABoyAndHisToys
ExcursionMark has a pretty wild alarm. Sends text messages and also starts it remotely via text message. PM him for details.

shave your door locks on the outtside. ford f-seriers get the locks poped almost more than any vehicle around. if you have ever worked on a door lock on one you could open any f-series door in a matter of seconds. then add a key fob to the system to unlock or mount a switch remotely somewhere outside the truck to unlocvk tthe doors.

Well it's a good thing the thieves didn't get in...but I will definitely consider this. Do you know of any alarm systems that would stop a thief right in his/her tracks?

I've got a Viper 5901 and I like it alot.

Just know that an alarm is only going to stop the petty thieves. A determined thief will get in no matter what kind of alarm you have.

I like BigReds idea! A pitbull in the front seat will GUARANTEE knowone will enter your truck!!
I've always heard good things about the Viper, but if it isn't in a public place all it does is make lots of noise, and we have all trained ourselves to ignore car alarms.........

I just had somebody break in mine and I went and got the Python model 991 w/ remote start for $600. Viper, Python and Clifford are all made by DEI so they are all basically the same. This system has a two way remote that goes off if your alarm is triggered and tells you if a door is open, shock or any of the other triggers. I like it so far only had it a week. This one has a mile range on it but depends on surroundings.
I also had them hook it to my train horns and put a switch so I can deactivate that part if I want. I know one thing if those starting going off somebody is gonna **** themselves haha
