Truck wont start

Well for the last 4 days my truck has been having trouble starting. You can turn the key on, let the glow plug light go out and try to start it, but nothing. No clicking, no buzzing just dead. Batteries are new(within 2 months). With cycling the key on and off anywhere from 5-15 times it will eventually turn over and start. Went out at 6:30am at -20°c to start(try to) it and take it to the dealership. After trying for 10 min to get the truck to turn over I was cold enough and mad enough that I called a tow truck. The first guy showed up with a normal Dodge 5500 truck. He took one look at mine and said he cant tow it. The tow truck called for a roll back(flat deck) instead and 1.5 hours later my poor truck was on the way to the dealership..thankfully not on the back of a dodge. Some pictures I took of the hook up. Just waiting for a phone call for some word on the progress.

On a side note, anyone know what size Mercedes motor would go into that flat deck? I was thinking of a Cummins if the old 6.0 ever quit on me, but damn that Mercedes has smooth and had a very cool sound to it. Would be cool to have something totally different.

And yes, I know my truck is filthy. Too damn cold to wash it without a garage to park it after.

Sounds like the starter is gone. Or wiring, I doubt it is an engine problem. Unless it is locked up.

It will start just fine once you get the key to engage. Hope it isnt wiring cause I would have to look at my remote starter, which I really dont want to do when it is cold out.

Could be the remote start system causing the problem.
