I am looking at buying a 06 f-250 xlt with the power heated sliding mirrors. I was wondering if you can swap to the smaller style mirror with out any problems or not? Thanks for any information

yea....i dont see why not unless there is a funky design change in the inside door skin.....just pull the door panel, unplug the electrical connector, and take out the nuts that hold it on (3 if i remember right).....thats the first time ive ever heard someone wanting to go to the smaller ones though.....

Thanks for the info, So I can get the smaller ones and still have the power adjustable mirrors. What about the heated glass part do the small ones have that to? also what do you do about the blinkers just leave them unplugged? I know it's just the opposite of what everyone does but I think they look better all I am going to do is pull a racecar . Thanks for all the help.

you may have to buy an electrical pigtail and wire the adjustable mirror for the truck pigtail...i didnt realize you were looking for the electrics to work too......i dont bieleave they offer the small ones with heated glass....and the turn signal wire is in the same connector....they only use one for it all.....so that may take a lake a little more work to make it function......i thought you were just asking if it would bolt in correctly.......Marc

i just looked at the wiring diagram....and it APPEARS that the connector in the door is the same for all mirrors.....but you will want to actually compare the old and new mirror before you try to plug the connector in......Marc

Thanks I was going to order a new truck but I waited about two weeks to long. I might wait on the 07's but then this one will probably be gone. The mirrors are really no big deal I was just curious if they could be changed
