Are any of you writing your own programs? I just recently purchased the Bullydog Powerpup.

I didnt have to have it updated but my buddy who bought one when we went to the local Summit store did. His 07 was not recognized by the programmer.

When talking to the Bullydog guy he said that there was a download the "Scary Larry" that gives like 320 hp increase but was highly adamant about not using it due to the weak head bolts.

What is the software written in ACii or A++ or what? How can you view what is important and fine tune these files?

I was checking out the Sniper Special Forces programmer where you can write your own programs. I know it would take a lot of knowledge of this stuff do to that but I know someone on here does it they have to the ricers do it, my thoughts are someone on here should too.

Last time I talked to Bully Dog they weren't going to offer the Crazy Larry program for the 6.0L because the engine came apart on their test truck when they tried it for the first time.

The way the guy talked over the phone you can get it its just not recommended on stock engines. If you have a built engine then by all means download it is sort of what he said.

I have no use for a 230 hp program but I can see where ignorant people would attempt such a setting on a stock engine.

I used the Crazy Larry once for 2 miles on a stock 04 6.0 and realized that if I kept it up bad things were going to happen

stock 6.0L = biggest piece of trash ever designed
sold the 04 and bought an 02
It felt good to have a truck again

85 Extra HP was all I wanted or needed to smoke 200+ feet of rubber.
Had to scale back the race performance on trans shift before it tore something out. Smoth shifting now!

i think now you have to sign some sort of waiver before you can get the crazy larry tune.
for sure it is not a safe tune, go with SCT your tranny will thank you. you didnt say what year your truck was, but some years had head bolt problems.

You can make plenty of safe power with the 6.0L. The key is how you make the extra power.
