how to tell the difference between the pre 11/22/03 and later 6.0

Hey guys,
i recentley just sold my 05 cc 6.0 PSD, to buy a 04 psd, i have read a few posts saying the new engine will be in it as long as its built after 11/22/03,i also heard from another mechanic saying that looking at the engine there will be a module on the drivers side ( i beleive) and only the 04 and newer 6.0's have it. can anyone verify this or have a picture? and does anyone know any other ways to tell the difference in case this isnt the original cab on the body.

I probably won't be much help, but from what I heard the problematic 6.0 were the 2005.5 and earlier.

Let me see. On the 03-04(early 04s) they are on the back of the engine under the turbo

thanks! if it ends up bbeing a pre 11/22/03 should i stay away from the truck? i heard they have alot more hpop issues and a few other things

awesome thanks again, yeah hes givin me a great price and already has the 05 front end on, arp studs afe stage 2 cold air 4" exhaust, 110,000 km's and a guy in town can do my egr delete $1000 installed which seems to be alright. pics will be up soon!
