Does P0611 Code = Bad solder joints?

I have read the tutorials on resoldering the joints on a 4 pin FICM if they read less than 48 volts, but I havent found this answer, does a P0611 code relate to the same FICM failure or are they different unrelated faults?

My truck is in the shop right now with a bad #1 injector, and they say it reads a P0611 code and want to change the FICM. At $700 +programing, I would rather try resoldering before I essentially throw a big $grand$.

If that dont work i would seriously look around before throwing money at ford. You can get a new ficm off craigs list for cheap. i actually posted one on here if someone hasnt bought it. it was 250 dollars i think.

Isn't the ficm covered under the engine 100k warrenty

Covered under your emissions warranty - at ZERO deductible (up to 5 yrs and 100k miles)

truck is at 103K so no warranty. This one I am paying for myself. So I am searching for used ones also......

so warranty or not, I need to know if this code is a bigger worse problem or I can save upwards of $700+ on a new FICM.

Id say fix injector first, then check with test and gain, if ficm doest work shouldn't it pull coce for all injector's. m no mechanic but the last three day's working on truck, tested everything and ended up somehwere along the line water froze in my system

Swamps Diesel sells reconditioned ones - $350. Have you checked the FICM voltages? This might confirm the po611.

Can you find out where it says that? My service writer said it was NOT covered under the emissions warranty and I would have to pay the $100 powertrain warranty!

Please show me so I can prove them wrong and save $100.

P0611 is the FICM death code. If you pulled that code prepare to replace it.

The FICM is not covered under the emissions warranty. Only the PCM is

From reading a few other posts the "fuel injection system" is covered under the emissions warranty. Not trying to be a d!@k, but wouldn't the FICM be considered part of the "fuel injection system"? Seriously!
