keyless entry buttons

hey guys i have an 04 f-350 and it has the bottons on the outside of the truck and i was woundering if there is a spot on the truck that i can find the code i know some cars have it in the trunk and do i have to take it to ford to reset the code or is it something i can do? thanks

Ford will be able to pull the code out of your computer with a scanner.

My manual has a credit card size plastic thing in it that has the code and instructions on it. If its not in your book you can take it to the dealer and the will plug into your computer on your truck and find it for you. The dealer wanted to charge me 50 bucks to do it though. Thankfully I found my card. You might be able to talk them down though

or you can look under your dash and up by the radio there is a sticker with the 5 digit number. You might have to move some insulation around but it is up there. It really wasnt that bad to get to!

i have the card in my book but not keypad on the outside. does anyone know where i can get the keypad and how hard are they to install?

what i did was reached up behind the radio and there is a box with a sticker on it i just peeled the sticker off and taped it in the owners manual but that has the code on it my truck is also a 04

i found my code wrote in the door jam with black permanent marker up front between the door hinges. i just happened to see it while detailing my trk saved my a trip to the dealer.

My sister has an 06 Freestyle, came with remote key pad, but no number pad on the door. She bought a kit from the dealer, came with a new key pad remote, and a stick on number pad for the door.
